Dear Sponsor,

Thank you for your interest in Tom and Joan Kelley’s book event, we hope you can attend. On May 3, 2017, the Ahern Family Charitable Foundation (AFCF) along with Nancy and Rick Kelleher and Tom Lyons will host an exclusive book launch event to honor authors, Medal of Honor recipient, Tom Kelley and his wife Joan and for the release of their new book, ‘The Siren’s Call and Second Chances.’ Telling their story is one more act of service for these Bostonian Veterans, the net proceeds will go to the AFCF that assists returning veterans and their families.

The event will be at the Boston Harbor Hotel from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and will feature entertainment from the hilarious comedian, Jimmy Tingle, book readings by Tom and Joan, followed by an on-stage interview and Q & A session from the audience. The 300 attendees will receive gift bags with autographed books and other items.

“This is a story of perseverance, service, heroic courage and love. In his own account, Tom describes how he almost died while saving his men in combat, resulting in the loss of his eye. Although he’s awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his heroic actions, he has to fight to stay in the Navy. In Joan’s own words she gives testament to insecurities to reach her own goals from childhood to retiring from the Navy. In a unique parallel twist of fate, these two meet and become soul mates due to their bonds of service and faith.”

The AFCF, which has no administrative costs, is a 501(c)(3) charity, and invites you to please help us sponsor the event at the level of your choice:
